Why this product is in the Depot

I included an orthopaedic bed because it is one of the most impactful ways to support a senior dog’s quality of life. Unlike standard beds that flatten over time, an orthopaedic bed uses high-density memory foam to distribute weight evenly and take pressure off aching joints. This helps prevent “bottoming out” against the hard floor, which is a major source of morning stiffness and pain for older pets.

How I use it

I actually got Maya’s orthopaedic bed from Mammoth, a Canadian company, when I noticed the first signs of aging at 8 years old. A high-quality bed was the first thing I could think of to support her body on a daily basis. She still sleeps in that same bed today at nearly 17—it provides the same great support and hasn’t sagged. Additionally, the outer fabric is removable, making it easy to throw in the washing machine to keep her sleeping area clean.
