I included this care logbook because as dogs age, their medical needs become more complex and nuanced. Having a dedicated space to track medications, appetite, and subtle physical changes helps you spot trends before they become emergencies. It bridges the communication gap between you and your dog’s health care team, ensuring everyone has the most accurate information to provide the best care.

How I use it

Over the years, I’ve kept many different logs for Maya—vaccine records, heart and breathing rate trackers, and notes on her neurological symptoms. realized how much better it would be to have all this fragmented information in one central place. While I have used various systems in the past, I created this specific logbook out of that direct need. I believe it will help other owners stay organized and feel empowered when sharing vital information with providers or anyone looking after their animal in their absence.

Why I recommend it

I recommend this because it removes the guesswork from senior dog care. When a vet asks, “How long has she been limping?” or “When did her appetite change?”, you don’t have to rely on memory.
